American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk responded on September 28 on the social network X (ex. Twitter) to the post of Pavel Durov, the creator of Telegram, in which he spoke about the request of the French special services to censor Moldovan channels on the eve of the elections.

"Wow," he wrote.

Earlier that day, Durov said that about a year ago, the French special services contacted him. He was asked to help the Moldovan authorities censor some of the platform's channels. According to him, after verification, the channels violating the rules of the messenger were deleted. In addition, a second list was sent to Telegram after a while, but the request was not fulfilled.

Earlier in the day, parliamentary elections began in Moldova. In the country, polling stations were open at 7 a.m. They will close at 21:00. 301 polling stations will operate outside the state in order to give citizens abroad the opportunity to vote. The total circulation of the ballots was 864.3 thousand copies. In addition, the turnout in the parliamentary elections reached the threshold of 30%.

In turn, the chairman of the Communist Party and co-chairman of the Patriotic Bloc, Vladimir Voronin, in an interview with Izvestia, expressed doubt about the honesty of the elections taking place in Moldova. He also noted that ballots with the "voted" stamp were massively discovered at foreign polling stations. At the same time, the total number of ballots sent abroad significantly exceeded the number of registered voters — 800 thousand instead of 300 thousand.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
