Witkoff called a possible meeting between Trump and Putin in Saudi Arabia

Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump may meet in Saudi Arabia. This was announced on March 19 by special envoy of the President of the United States Stephen Witkoff.
"I can't speak for them, but I'm sure it's likely to happen," he said in an interview with Bloomberg.
Witkoff also noted that a full ceasefire in Ukraine could be achieved in "a couple of weeks."
On the evening of March 18, Putin and Trump had a telephone conversation. During the talks, the parties exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine, and also discussed a wide range of areas in which the United States and Russia could establish cooperation.
The next day, responding to a journalist's request to confirm Witkoff's information about the continuation of negotiations between Russia and the United States in Saudi Arabia, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the dates of the next bilateral contacts would be agreed in the coming days.
