During a telephone conversation on March 18, US President Donald Trump supported the idea of Russian leader Vladimir Putin to organize hockey matches in both countries between the clubs of the two countries. This was announced by the Kremlin's press service on its official website.

"Donald Trump supported Vladimir Putin's idea to organize hockey matches in the United States and Russia between Russian and American players playing in the NHL and KHL," the statement said.

The two leaders agreed to remain in contact on all issues raised during the talks.

A telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump took place earlier in the day. During the talks, the sides exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine and discussed a wide range of areas in which the United States and Russia could cooperate.

In addition, Putin supported Trump's idea of a mutual refusal of the Russian Federation and Ukraine from strikes on energy infrastructure for 30 days and immediately gave the Russian military the appropriate command.
