Those involved in the attempted robbery were sentenced to up to 6.5 years in prison.

Two Kiev agents involved in the preparation of terrorist attacks in the Kherson region, including against the governor of the region, Vladimir Saldo, have been sentenced to prison terms of up to 6.5 years. This was announced on July 2 by the head of the Kherson region.

"Two accomplices of the Ukrainian special services involved in terror against the Kherson region have received well—deserved punishment. <...> The court sentenced the perpetrators to six years and 6.5 years in prison," Saldo wrote on his Telegram channel.

The governor noted that the defendants handed over explosives, weapons, and ammunition to the perpetrators of the attacks. As a result of the actions of criminals in 2022, Dmitry Savluchenko, head of the Youth and Sports department, was blown up in his personal car.

In addition, Valery Kuleshov, a blogger who supported Russia, was shot. The defendants were also involved in the preparation of an attempt on the Balance itself — the crime was prevented.

"The Ukrainian special services abandon the recruited people as expendable, and then forget about them. But you always have to answer for blood and betrayal," concluded the governor of the Kherson region.

An attempt on the Balance was prevented in Kherson on July 11, 2022. It was thanks to local residents that an improvised explosive device planted on the route of his car was discovered and defused in a timely manner.

On March 19, 2026, the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia announced the final stage of the investigation into the attempted Balance in 2022. Later, on April 2, the Investigative Committee completed the investigation. The defendants were Ukrainians Alexander Kruchinenko, Nikolai and Sergey Semenyuki.

It was established that from March to June 2022, three men were part of a terrorist community created by SBU officers to commit terrorist attacks in Kherson against employees of the military-civil administration (CAA) of the region and others.
