- Three accused of embezzlement of money from SVO fighters in Sheremetyevo pleaded guilty
The court arrested three new defendants in the case of embezzlement of money from participants in a special military operation (SVO) at Sheremetyevo airport — all of them confessed. This was reported in court documents on October 25.
"The materials also contain information about the crime event and reasonable suspicion of the defendant's involvement in the alleged act, which is seen in addition to her own confessions from witness statements, the results of operational investigative activities and other evidence in the criminal case in aggregate," the document quotes TASS.
It is noted that three women are suspects in the case: two of them are natives of Lugansk, one is from New Moscow. All the defendants have admitted their guilt and are cooperating with the investigation.
One of the accused had a previous criminal record, the other has three dependent children, the agency says.
Earlier, on April 30, the court arrested six defendants, and later nine more, who stole money from their participants at the airport. The attackers committed fraud through theft, extortion and fraudulent activities. Later it became known that Alexey Kabochkin was arrested, whom the investigation considers to be the organizer of the criminal group.
On September 10, the court extended the arrest of the defendants in the criminal case on embezzlement of money from the SVO fighters until November of this year. In addition, it turned out that new victims had appeared in this case. Later, it was reported about the arrest of seven new defendants in the case.
