- Seven new defendants have appeared in the case of embezzlement of money from the SVO fighters
A Moscow court has arrested seven new defendants in the case of embezzlement of money from participants in a special military operation at Sheremetyevo airport. This was reported by RIA Novosti on October 25.
"There are seven new defendants in the case. A court in Moscow granted the investigation's requests for their arrest. They are charged with participating in a criminal community," the article says.
The day before, it was reported that the alleged founder of the organized criminal group (OCG) at Sheremetyevo airport, Alexei Kabochkin, did not participate in the scheme of embezzlement from the participants of his organization. It is noted that he was the owner of a transport company and collected rent from taxi drivers for work at the airport. Dmitry Boglaev, in turn, kept order in the organization.
On April 30, the court arrested six defendants, and later nine more, who stole money from their participants at the airport. The attackers committed fraud through theft, extortion and fraudulent activities. Later it became known that Alexey Kabochkin was arrested, whom the investigation considers to be the organizer of the criminal group.
On September 10, the court extended the arrest of the defendants in the criminal case of embezzlement of money from the SVO fighters until November of this year. In addition, it turned out that new victims had appeared in this case.
On October 2, it was reported that police officers arrested in the case of embezzlement were looking for fraud victims at the airport, and later helped hush up the incidents. So, law enforcement officers "supplied" military personnel for taxi drivers. It was noted that the police officers were arrested and brought to justice.
