Blogger Valeria Chekalina (Lerchek), who was hospitalized due to the threat of miscarriage, will undergo surgery. Her lawyer Viktor Dugin told about it on December 29.

"Valeria was urgently taken to Lapino, she will undergo surgery today or tomorrow, everything is fine with the child, the operation is not related to gynecology," the lawyer told RIA Novosti.

In connection with this, the defendant in the criminal case, who was under house arrest, required surgery, and the defense lawyer refused to inform.

The fact that pregnant blogger Chekalina was hospitalized due to the threat of miscarriage was reported on December 24 by her lover Luis Squicciarini. It was noted that Lercek was admitted to the hospital with severe pain in her lower back, and everything is fine with the girl and the embryo.

On November 24, the Gagarin Court in Moscow extended the house arrest of Chekalina and her ex-husband for six months. At the same time, Lercek confirmed her pregnancy and stated that Squicciarini was the father of the child.

On December 1, Lercek pleaded not guilty to withdrawing funds abroad and stated that she did not understand the essence of the charges. Her ex-husband, Artyom Chekalin, admitted that he was guilty of committing a tax crime, but had nothing to do with the withdrawal of funds from Russia.

The criminal case against Chekalina and her ex-husband was opened in October last year. A man and a woman, as well as their accomplice, were suspected of illegally withdrawing more than 250 million rubles from Russia to Dubai using forged documents (art. 193.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
