The three-year-old son of blogger Valeria Chekalina (Lercek) dropped a table on himself during a game and was urgently hospitalized with a lung injury. This was reported to Izvestia on October 1 by Konstantin Tretyakov, the lawyer of his father, Artyom Chekalin.

Due to the fact that Lercek is under house arrest, special permission from the investigator was required to hospitalize the boy. Traffic on the highway was difficult, but traffic police officers transferred the child and grandmother to their car and promptly took them to a medical facility. It is noted that Chekalina followed them.

According to the lawyer, the child was diagnosed with pneumothorax, but he managed to be operated on in time. After the successful operation, the boy quickly recovered.

"Special thanks to the traffic police officers. There was a wild traffic jam, the child's injuries were very severe, and it was only thanks to them that they were able to get there on time. It was counting for minutes," Tretyakov explained.

On August 21, the Troitskiy District Court of Moscow extended the house arrest of blogger Lerchek. It was extended for one month and seven days, until September 28. Also on September 7, police officers completed a preliminary investigation into the bloggers. The next day, Chekalina and her ex-husband were charged.

The criminal case against the Chekalins was opened in October last year. The ex-husband and wife, as well as their accomplice, were suspected of illegally withdrawing more than 250 million rubles from Russia to Dubai using forged documents (art. 193.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
