Congresswoman Mace demanded to start a trial of Prince Andrew
US Congresswoman Nancy Mays has called for the trial of Prince Andrew, the brother of the current King of Great Britain, Charles III, in the case of financier Jeffrey Epstein, accused of trafficking minors and sexual exploitation. She wrote about this on September 3 on the social network X.
"So, when will we hold Prince Andrew accountable for potential crimes in the United States? This will be the right next step (after the publication of the materials)," Mace said.
She stressed that it is worth focusing on finding the perpetrators and giving the victims and the country the opportunity to heal.
Epstein committed suicide at a correctional center in New York in August 2019. A few months earlier, he had been arrested on charges of organizing sex trafficking and involving minors in prostitution. Prior to this, the prosecutor's office reported evidence that in 2002-2005, Epstein organized visits to his home in the New York borough of Manhattan for dozens of underage girls.
In January 2024, the first part of the documents was published, containing the names of more than 150 people involved in the financier's case. Among them are former US President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew, as well as Microsoft founder Bill Gates. On January 8, The Mirror newspaper reported that Prince Andrew locked himself at home after the publication of documents on the Epstein case and did not understand how to proceed.
On July 19, US President Donald Trump asked the Department of Justice to release all available evidence from the jury in the Epstein case. However, later, on July 23, the Florida court rejected this request, in connection with which Trump expressed his dissatisfaction on July 28. The American president was annoyed by the mistakes made by the White House in this matter.
