Patrushev admitted attempts by Europe to disrupt the dialogue between Russia and the United States

European countries will try to disrupt the dialogue between Russia and the United States. This was announced to journalists on March 19 by Nikolai Patrushev, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Maritime Board.

"Of course, the Europeans, first of all, will [try to disrupt the dialogue]. Especially the Balts, Finns, Poles will do this, and so will other Europeans," Interfax quoted him as saying.

Patrushev added that, despite their attempts, the Europeans still will not be able to prevent the Russian Federation and the United States.

In 2.5 hours, the leaders of the two countries also discussed the situation in the Middle East and cooperation in the field of sports.

On March 18, Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump had a telephone conversation. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine, and also discussed a wide range of areas in which the United States and Russia could establish cooperation.
