The Usoltsev family, who disappeared in the taiga of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, could have encountered secret settlements. The version about a possible meeting with the Old Believers was voiced by Svetlana Torgashina, head of the Oksana Vasilishina Search for Missing Children group.

"Maybe they got out and came across some Old Believers," says the trader. aif.ru .

She also added that a family with a child could find shelter in a hospitable community.

However, Ekaterina Irzhakova, a specialist in the administration of the village of Yartsevo in the Yenisei region, who lives next to the Taiga Old Believers, expressed doubt that the Old Believers could accept the Usoltsevs.

"They [the Old Believers] don't particularly like outsiders," she said.

Irzhakova also added that if the family really joined some kind of community, then it probably wasn't the Old Believers, but a sect.

On October 8, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory reported that over 515 km of forest roads and 40 square kilometers of woodlands had been explored in search of missing tourists.
