On October 8, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto criticized Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk for trying to justify a Ukrainian suspected of involvement in the explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.

"Donald Tusk considers it normal if someone blows up a gas pipeline. This is shocking, because the question arises: what else can be considered a justified crime?" wrote Szijjarto on his page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to him, Hungary does not want to be part of a Europe in which there is a place to justify terrorism.

On October 1, a Polish court arrested diver Vladimir Solovyov, who is wanted by Germany. It is specified that he is suspected of involvement in the explosions on the Nord Stream gas pipeline. According to the decision of the judges, the defendant must be held in custody until the issue of his transfer to Germany is resolved.

On September 30, the German Prosecutor General's Office announced the detention in Poland of a Ukrainian citizen who took part in the bombing of the Nord Streams. It was noted that the trained diver was part of a group of individuals who placed explosive devices on the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines near Bornholm Island in September 2022. The person involved was detained by the police in Pruszków.
