Russian Railways showed new wagons with two-meter shelves and irons
In St. Petersburg at the exhibition "PRO//Movement.Expo presented a new sleeping car (SV) equipped with two-meter shelves. This was announced on August 27 by the Russian Railways press service.
"In the new St...> eight double coupes with horizontal seating arrangement," the Telegram channel says.
The carriages have spacious closed shelves above the sleeping places, which allows passengers to store hand luggage and larger sports equipment. A separate safe is provided for valuables.
It is specified that each passenger can use individual LED lights, a call button for the conductor, 220 V sockets and USB connectors, as well as multimedia screens with the ability to select content.
The length of the sleeping places has been increased by 16 cm and now stands at 2 m. Each car has modern bathrooms, as well as separate shower cabins equipped with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board.
According to representatives of the carrier, it is planned to receive 28 such wagons from the manufacturer Vagonremmash this year.
Ivan Kolesnikov, Deputy General Director of Russian Railways, announced on July 15 that in a few years, cars with gravity toilets would completely disappear from Russian Railways trains. In addition, he added that Russian Railways most often supplies wagons with toilets and modern bathrooms.
