Polygamist Sukhov testified for the first time in the UK in the case of harassment of his daughter

Ivan Sukhov, a polygamist and father of 14 children, testified for the first time in the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation in the Vladimir region in a criminal case of harassment of his daughter Anna Sukhova. This was reported on September 15 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

According to the girl, her father committed indecent acts against her when she was 14 years old. Sukhov does not admit guilt in this.

"Russia's most famous polygamist, Ivan Sukhov, was brought in for questioning with extreme secrecy. To avoid unnecessary eyes, the operation was carried out on a day off, and he was taken to the Investigative Committee building in a black car with tinted windows," said correspondent Pavel Ponomarev.

It is noted that the interrogation lasted several hours. At the same time, Sukhov left the building of the Investigative Committee with the status of a suspect. In addition, Evgenia Gorina, senior assistant to the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee for the region, said that investigators were interrogating other persons, as well as deciding on the appointment of forensic examinations, and seeking additional characterizing information.

After the interrogation, the man went to his family's house. The polygamist has not communicated with his daughter Anna for a long time. His lawyer filed a motion for a confrontation.

On September 10, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia opened a criminal case on lewd acts against Sukhov after his daughter claimed harassment from her father. In June, Sukhov denied his 19-year-old daughter's accusations of harassment. According to him, journalists are manipulating his daughter "for the sake of HYPE" and want to cash in on this topic.

In December 2024, Sukhov spoke about the inspection of his family after a high-profile interview. He also assumed that the close attention to his family was due to "raging feminism."
