The Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia has opened a criminal case accusing Ivan Sukhov, a polygamist and father of 14 children, of lewd acts after his daughter claimed harassment from her father. This was reported on September 10 in the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Vladimir region.

"A criminal case has been opened on the basis of allegations made on the air of a federal TV channel about the commission of a crime against the sexual integrity of a daughter," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

In December last year, Sukhov spoke about the inspection of his family after a high-profile interview. The next day, the man shared that there was a good atmosphere in his family. Sukhov suggested that the close attention to his family is due to "raging feminism."

Later, in June 2025, Sukhov denied his 19-year-old daughter's accusations of harassment. According to him, journalists are manipulating his daughter "for the sake of HYPE" and want to cash in on this topic. The girl accused her father of harassment on a talk show. She said that at the age of 14, her mother sent her to be raised by Sukhov, who subsequently repeatedly committed intimate acts against her.
