A Moldovan history textbook promoting Nazism will remain in the school curriculum because the government refused to revoke it. This was announced on August 22 by Alexey Petrovich, head of the Pobeda Coordination Committee.

"The new academic year begins on September 1. And the schools of our country will join it with a history textbook promoting Nazism," follows from the publication in the Telegram channel.

An attempt by the Ministry of Education to hold public hearings on this educational material has not yielded results, Petrovich added. According to him, "the best experts" consider the textbook to be good and insisted that "the Romanian Nazis were heroes."

In addition, Petrovich noted that the Pobeda bloc will continue to fight such propaganda.

Earlier, on June 11, it was reported that a history textbook for 12th graders was released in Moldova, which distorts the events of the rebuilding of the Moldavian SSR by the Soviet Union after World War II.

In addition, on May 11, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called the contents of the new Moldovan textbooks "outright lies and distortions of history" due to their portrayal of Russia as a party to the Transnistrian conflict. She also stressed that Russia's accusations of fueling the conflict are a politically motivated fabrication.

On this day, it became known that a new Moldovan high school history textbook claims that Chisinau was at war with Russia over Transnistria. According to the theses of the publication, Moldova tried to maintain its integrity, while the Russian Federation allegedly continued to pursue its interests.
