Traktor has secured first place in the KHL Eastern Conference.

Traktor Chelyabinsk secured the first place in the Eastern Conference of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) as a result of their victory over SKA St. Petersburg in the KHL regular season match. The match was held in Chelyabinsk on March 18 and ended with a score of 4:2.

Grigory Dronov (22nd minute), Vladimir Tkachev (33rd minute), Ostap Safin (43rd minute) and Charles Robinson (59th minute) scored goals for the winners. Vitaly Kravtsov provided three assists.

Pavel Dedunov (14th minute) and Dmitry Yudin (35th minute) scored goals for the visitors.

Following the meeting, Traktor secured the first place in the Eastern Conference with 94 points. The second place is taken by Ufa's Salavat Yulaev with 89 points, which has only two matches left until the end of the season.

SKA, in turn, occupies the sixth place in the Western Conference.

A day earlier, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl won the KHL regular season for the first time in its history. The club registered an early victory, scoring 98 points in 66 matches.

On the same day, all the KHL teams that will participate in the 2025 Gagarin Cup were determined. Traktor, Salavat Yulaev, Metallurg, Avtomobilist, Ak Bars, Avangard, Admiral and Sibir will join the decisive games from the Eastern Conference clubs. The Western Conference will be represented by Lokomotiv, Dynamo Moscow, Spartak, CSKA, Dinamo Minsk, SKA, Severstal and Torpedo.
