Eight people injured in train collision in Murmansk region
Eight people, preliminary, were injured in the collision of two trains near Murmansk, one of the victims is in serious condition. This is reported on December 18 source "Izvestia".

The Governor of the region Andrei Chibis reported that four more ambulance crews have arrived on the scene to the already sent three, and reserve crews are being formed.
"Izvestia" published footage from the passenger train after the collision. They show passengers trying to move from one carriage to a neighboring one, but see that the inter-carriage doors were damaged and jammed. Some had to evacuate outside in light clothing. From the outside, at least one freight car is seen to have overturned, and one of the passenger cars that went off the rails has a crumpled wall.
After the train accident, the Kandalaksha Transport Prosecutor's Office organized an inspection of the observance of passenger rights and legislation on the safety of train operation.
