Nine defendants in the case of the terrorist attack in "Crocus" are listed as terrorists

Rosfinmonitoring has included nine defendants in the terrorist and extremist list in the case of the terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall concert hall near Moscow. The updated list was published on December 2 on the website of the agency.

Rosfinmonitoring added Umejon and Mustakim Soliyev, Zubaidullo Ismoilov, Husein Medov, Batyr Kulaev, Husein Khamidov, Jabrail Aushev, Khavazh-Bagaudin Aliyev and Shakhromjon Gadoev to its list.

In addition, the agency added the Islamic Bakkiya, a separate combat unit of the international terrorist group Islamic State (IS, banned in Russia), to the list.

The terrorist attack in the Crocus City Hall took place on March 22, 2024. Terrorists in camouflage stormed into the building, they carried out shooting and set fire to the concert hall. The attack killed 145 people and injured 551.

The Russian Investigative Committee said that the terrorists who committed the attack after the crime were supposed to cross the border between Russia and Ukraine, come to Kiev and receive the promised reward.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code ("Terrorist act"). Head of the Russian Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov said on May 24 that more than 20 people, including perpetrators and accomplices, had been detained in the case. All of them are in custody, their arrest has been repeatedly extended.

Later, on October 3, it was reported that Ismoilov, Soliyevs and Gadoev are members of the terrorist group "Wilayat Khorasan" (the Afghan wing of the "Islamic State", the organization is recognized as a terrorist and banned in Russia). A criminal case has been opened against the four men on this fact.
