Novak instructed to continue saturating the domestic market with petroleum products

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak instructed relevant departments and industry companies to continue work on saturating the domestic market with petroleum products. This was announced on September 21 by the Government of the Russian Federation.

"Alexander Novak instructed relevant departments and industry companies to continue working together to saturate the domestic market with petroleum products and ensure stable supply of subjects," the publication says in the Maks messenger.

During the meeting, the Ministry of Energy presented a report on the current situation on the oil products market, the level of fuel reserves and capacity utilization. Separately, the participants reviewed the situation in the regional markets of Tuva, Khakassia and Yakutia, as well as the Novosibirsk Region and the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Representatives of the regional authorities reported on the work of the gas station infrastructure and the progress of deliveries within the framework of the northern delivery. In addition, industry companies reported on the fulfillment of previously given orders, including the supply of petroleum products to the most vulnerable regions and the fulfillment of obligations under the northern supply.

Novak also instructed to take into account possible risks and take timely response measures. These include an increase in the production of petroleum products and an adjustment in fuel imports.

The cost of this fuel has already broken historical records in other major countries.

Novak noted on September 4 that the fuel supply situation had improved. He explained that the positive dynamics is due to additional supplies from refineries. The authorities, as the Deputy Prime Minister specified, intend to continue balancing the market by increasing production and imports.

On September 13, the Governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, indicated that by the beginning of October, new fuel supply chains would be built in the region and repaired plants would be launched. To reduce the load on gas stations, the authorities are considering the possibility of introducing refueling of cars with even and odd numbers every other day.
