- Rostec presented the "Web" complex for the protection of industrial facilities from UAVs
Rostec State Corporation has introduced the "Web" complex to protect infrastructure from drones. This was announced on July 15 by the press service of the organization.
"RT – Design Technologies has introduced comprehensive infrastructure protection against unmanned aerial vehicles for the first time," the organization's website says.
The system consists of modular metal structures capable of withstanding a direct hit by a drone weighing up to 200 kg flying at a speed of 250 km/h. The "web" can protect objects with a height of more than 25 m and any area. It is assembled on bolted joints without welding, which allows it to be mounted in cramped conditions and with increased fire risk.
Rostec Deputy General Director Alexander Nazarov noted that protection can be enhanced without additional developments. The solution allows you to protect oil storage facilities, fuel terminals, electrical substations and warehouses from most long-range drones. The product is already undergoing trial operation at fuel and energy complex facilities.
Rostec announced on July 3 that the first batch of multi-bullet "Ellipsis" cartridges developed by the High-Precision Complexes holding company for combating mini-drones had been delivered to the Russian troops. It is specified that anti-drone ammunition is capable of hitting unmanned aerial vehicles at a distance of up to 100-150 m or up to 300 m, depending on the caliber.
