An absolute record has been set in Moscow in the 25-year history of the unified state exam: a schoolgirl received the maximum 500 points in five subjects. This was announced on June 28 by the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin, in the Maks messenger.

According to him, Ekaterina Malkova, a graduate of school No. 1409, showed the highest results in Russian, specialized mathematics, chemistry, physics and computer science.

"An absolute record: a Moscow schoolgirl passed the Unified State Exam with a maximum of 500 points <...> Such results were achieved for the first time in the 25-year history of the unified state exam," Sobyanin wrote.

The mayor congratulated the graduate, as well as her teachers and parents, noting the high level of training of the girl. He said that Ekaterina studied mathematics vertically from 5th to 9th grade, and in high school she studied engineering in a pre—professional class.

In addition, the schoolgirl became the winner of the meta-subject contest "Intellectual metropolis. Potential", a prize-winner of the Lomonosov Olympiad in physics and a participant in the Engineers of the Future conference.

According to Sobyanin, the graduate plans to link her further professional activities with the exact sciences. Among the areas under consideration are biophysics, bioinformatics and nanoengineering. She intends to receive her education at leading universities in the country, including Moscow State University, MIPT and the Mendeleev Russian Technical Technical University.

On June 23, when Malkova received her results on only four of the five Unified State Exams, she admitted that the result came as a surprise to her. According to the graduate, she perceived the Unified State Exam primarily as a tool for university admission and was focused on exam preparation, not trying to predict her scores in advance.

On the same day, Artem Shuntov, a graduate of the Technical Lyceum, also received results in chemistry, physics, mathematics and the Russian language, becoming the first graduate of Primorye to score 400 points. In addition to him, 65 more graduates in the region received 100 points for one of the exams.
