Comedian Komissarenko spoke about the difficulties of performing in Amsterdam

Stand-up comedian Vyacheslav Komissarenko, who was stripped of Russian citizenship, spoke on April 13 about problems with performances in the Netherlands due to false reports from the organizer about the mining of halls.

In an episode of the show on his YouTube channel, Komissarenko shared that he had not performed in Amsterdam for three years. The reason, according to him, was the theft of money from the organizer for 20 concerts. In addition, after that, he falsely reported mining in the halls where the comedian's performances were supposed to take place.

Komissarenko claims that he sent evidence to the Dutch police about the calls from his organizer, but the law enforcement officers were not convinced by these words. As a result, the comedian was banned from performing in Amsterdam.

The FSB press service announced on April 22 last year that Komissarenko and another comedian Dmitry Romanov had been stripped of Russian citizenship. According to the statement, the comedians' actions pose a threat to Russia's national security. In addition, Komissarenko and Romanov were banned from entering the Russian Federation.

Prior to that, on February 4, the State Security Committee (KGB) of Belarus included Komissarenko in the list of persons involved in terrorism. Before that, on January 24, he was added to the list of extremists in Belarus.

On December 30, 2024, the Minsk City Court sentenced Komissarenko to six years in prison in absentia. He was found guilty of committing crimes under three articles of the Criminal Code of Belarus.
