When asked about the secret of longevity, Gault herself answered uncertainly.

"I do not know. I think it's not because of how I lived when I was young, because I wasn't living very well then. And when I got older, I realized that I had to change myself," she said.

Her grandson, in turn, claims that a healthy lifestyle played an important role.

"As she always says, she walked a lot—every day. I ate right, took care of myself, without bad habits. I think that this and physical activity became the basis of her longevity," said her grandson Mickey.
