- Indonesia has offered Russia technology exchange in the video game industry
Indonesia and Russia can establish technology exchange and joint project development in the video game industry. This was announced on February 10 by the head of the Committee on Culture of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) Ivan Chen.
Chen is also the founder of Anantarupa Studios. It is a multinational company that has been developing computer games, comics, music, and animated films since 2011. The head of the studio visited the Moscow cluster of video games and animation.
"We can work together.: We could create something together and test it in a new market in Southeast Asia," the Moscow Creative Industries Agency (AKI) quotes Chen as saying.
According to him, the strengths of Indonesian developers are in creating scripts and cultural content, while Russian studios are very advanced "from an engineering point of view." He added that he is considering the possibility of opening a representative office of the Indonesian studio in the Moscow cluster.
Anton Vasiliev, director of Hexlet IT College, told Izvestia in November last year that interest in gaming technologies continues to grow in Russia, and video games are becoming not just entertainment, but a full-fledged resource for education and future profession.
He said that esports is being formed as a full-fledged professional field today. Vasiliev explained that an esports athlete requires the same qualities as a traditional athlete — the ability to think strategically, react quickly, work in a team and withstand high psychological stress.
