More and more participants in the special military operation (SVO), who have completed contracts with the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, are returning to civilian life, and this flow continues to increase. This was announced on January 26 by Alexey Nechaev, head of the New People party faction in the State Duma, at the opening of the New Start digital adaptation program for veterans of the Military educational institution.

"More and more people are already coming to the civilian life, ending their contracts for work in the SVO zone. And if there weren't many people at first, now we see that the flow is increasing, and we all hope that it will be even bigger soon," he said.

Nechaev noted that many people return to a changed world, where they need help to adapt quickly. According to him, New People has developed the first eight training modules of the New Start program to help veterans get used to civilian life. The head of the faction explained that the first steps in a new reality are always the most difficult, and it is important that ex-servicemen be helped to pass them quickly.

"We will increase the number of these modules, because the appetite comes with eating," he concluded.

On December 9 last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the need to adapt veterans of the special operation. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, in turn, added that Russia had done a lot to provide various types of assistance to the heroes of its armed Forces.

Later, on December 15, Putin, during a meeting with the Secretary of the General Council of United Russia, Vladimir Yakushev, noted that veterans of their military who are in government will keep special control over the support of military personnel and their families.
