Vodka sales in Russia decreased by 3.6% by the end of 2025. This was reported on January 26 by RIA Novosti with reference to Rosalokoltabakcontrol.

According to the statistics of the department, the volume of vodka sales amounted to 73.3 million decaliters, which is 3.6% lower than in 2024. At the same time, sales of alcoholic beverages increased by 12.7%, reaching 18.8 million decaliters.

In general, the sale of alcoholic beverages with a strength of over 9% decreased by 1.1%, amounting to almost 120 million decaliters. The most significant drop — by 87.3% — was recorded in the segment of low-alcohol products, the volume of which amounted to only 1.5 million decaliters.

Cognac sales decreased by 9.2% to 12.8 million decaliters. There was also a decrease in the wine segment: sales of grape wines fell by 1.9%, sparkling wines — by 3.2%, and liqueur wines — by 10.7%. The total sales volume of all alcoholic beverages in the country in 2025 amounted to 205.8 million decaliters, which is 9.3% less than in 2024.

In early January, it was reported that the minimum retail price of 0.5 liters of vodka in Russia increased from January 1 to 409 rubles. According to the order of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the minimum price of 0.5 liters of brandy and other types of alcohol produced from wine, fruit, cognac and other distillates aged for at least three years is set at 605 rubles.
