Witkoff called Putin's translator a legend at a meeting in the Kremlin
During a meeting in the Kremlin, US President Donald Trump's special envoy Stephen Witkoff called Alexei Sadikov, the translator of Russian leader Vladimir Putin, a legend. On January 25, Pavel Zarubin, a VGTRK journalist, posted footage of the conversation on his Telegram channel.
"Oh, the legend! I can recognize your voice now," Witkoff said, referring to the translator.
The special envoy of the US president also called Sadikov's voice "the best on earth."
Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said on January 23 that the meeting between Putin and Witkoff was useful in every sense. It lasted for about four hours. The negotiations took place in the Presidential Executive Office in the Kremlin's Senate Palace.
Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov reported on January 22 that Russia highly appreciated the efforts of the United States in the negotiation process on Ukraine, as well as the results achieved.
