- A teenager in the United States pleaded guilty to murdering his parents to assassinate Trump
Nikita Kasap, a resident of the US state of Wisconsin, pleaded guilty to the murder of his parents as part of a deal with the prosecution, which, according to investigators, was committed for the subsequent preparation of an assassination attempt on US President Donald Trump. This was announced on January 8 by the CBS television channel.
"A Wisconsin man accused of murdering his parents and stealing their money to finance a plan to assassinate President Trump has pleaded guilty to two counts of murder as part of a deal with prosecutors," the material says.
According to the TV channel, mandatory life imprisonment is provided for each of the charges. However, the judge in the case, Ralph Ramirez, will be able to consider the possibility of Kasap's parole after serving 20 years of punishment for each episode.
According to the investigation, Kasap allegedly killed his mother and stepfather on February 11, 2025, after which he stayed in the same house with the bodies for several weeks. He later left the city of Waukesha, driving away in his parents' car and taking with him about $14,000 in cash, passports, jewelry and a dog. He was detained on February 28 in the state of Kansas.
The prosecution materials cited by CBS say that the young man purchased a drone and explosives, and also compiled a manifesto with Nazi views and calls for the assassination of Trump and the overthrow of the US government. The court plans to deliver the final verdict in the Kasap case on March 5.
In April 2025, American special services suspected Kasap of murdering his parents and stealing property worth more than $10,000 in order to prepare an assassination attempt on Trump. It was clarified that he was detained back in March, he was charged with various charges, including murder and hiding the bodies.
