Figure skater Kostyleva resumed work with Evgeny Plushenko

Russian junior figure skating champion Elena Kostyleva has started working with two-time Olympic champion and coach Evgeny Plushenko again. He announced this on January 8 in his Telegram channel.

"For Lena's sake, and only for her sake, we erased all the negativity from life with an eraser and overstepped all our principles. On Christmas Day, a Bright Christian holiday, we all talked together and decided to start our sports life with her from scratch," Plushenko wrote.

He noted that the athlete and the coaching staff will have a serious and long stage of joint training after a break related to health problems and recovery.

On December 21 last year, Plushenko announced the end of cooperation with Kostyleva. He explained that the reason for the breakup was the interference of Kostyleva's mother, Irina, in the training process. The coach noted that he tried to adapt to this situation, but the conditions that were set became unacceptable for him. Later, on December 22, the coach announced that Kostyleva would continue to participate in his show.
