Russia's share in global imports of tangerines has become known.

Russians consumed a sixth of the world's tangerine imports in January-September 2025. This was reported on January 4 by the RIA Novosti news agency, citing data from the UN Comtrade platform and open data.

It is specified that in nine months, about 486.8 thousand tons of these citrus fruits were imported into the country, which is 17% of global imports. The United States came in second place in terms of purchases with 207.3 thousand tons (7.7%), followed by the United Kingdom (204 thousand tons), France (203.8 thousand tons) and Germany (165.9 thousand tons).

At the same time, France became the leader in monetary terms, spending $337.5 million on tangerines.

On December 27, it was reported that the cost of a kg of tangerines in Russia in 2025 decreased by 12%, amounting to 185 rubles against 218 rubles in 2024. At the same time, the demand for these citrus fruits decreased by 6%. It was noted that in some regions the prices of tangerines increased: in the Perm Region they increased by 40%, and in the Krasnoyarsk Region — by 17%.
