Hunter who accidentally shot the head of the Novosibirsk region will go on trial
A hunter who accidentally shot Alexander Grib, the head of the Leninsky district of Novosibirsk, during a corral hunt, will go on trial. This was announced on December 17 by the press service of the Prosecutor's office of the Novosibirsk region.
"The prosecutor's office has sent a criminal case to the court on the fact of causing death while hunting to the head of the Leninsky district of Novosibirsk, Alexander Grib," the Telegram channel said.
According to investigators, on October 1, 2025, a group of hunters, including Mushroom and the accused, conducted a corral hunt for roe deer in the Dovolensky district. During one of the pens, the accused, shooting at roe deer through an optical sight, made a mistake and pointed the barrel of the carbine at the sector where other hunters were.
One of the shots hit a Mushroom located at a distance of more than 400 meters, and he died on the spot. The criminal case was sent to the Dovolensky District Court for consideration on the merits. A resident of the Ordynsky district is charged under Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence").
On October 2, the Investigative Committee of the Novosibirsk Region opened a criminal case on the negligent homicide of Alexander Grib. Initially, the man was charged under Part 1 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence"). The Prosecutor's Office of the Novosibirsk region changed its decisions and charged a resident of the Ordynsky district under Part 2 of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence due to improper performance of professional duties by a person").
