The RSA proposed to send notifications about the absence of CTP through Gosuslugi
On December 8, the head of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA), Evgeny Ufimtsev, proposed sending warnings through the Gosuslugi portal to car owners who did not have a CTP policy, instead of immediately issuing fines.
"It seems to me that we still need to use the potential of Gosuslug, when registering for the offense of not having a CTP policy, let's not get a full fine first, <...> but a notification would be launched that he (the car owner - Ed.) drove under the camera and at that moment the absence of the policy was recorded. according to the information system," he said at a round table meeting in the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation. His words are quoted by TASS.
According to Ufimtsev, this approach will encourage citizens to take out compulsory insurance.
The head of the RSA also outlined the steps necessary before launching full-fledged control of policies through cameras. First, we need to finalize the amendments on the fine once a day. Secondly, the solution of technical issues on the part of the traffic police is required for certification and implementation of the information system.
Earlier that day, Vladislav Zazykin, a representative of the Gosuslugi Avto project, said that the Ministry of Finance, together with the National Insurance Information System (NSIS), was preparing to launch informing drivers about the absence of a CTP policy. Currently, the Gosuslugi Avto application allows you to open a driver's license and CTC in electronic form, register an accident according to the European protocol, apply for CTP compensation and receive notifications of fines. In 2025, online presentation is working in a pilot mode - the traffic inspector has the right to ask for a paper version of the documents.
