10 children hospitalized with acute intestinal infection in Dagestan

In Dagestan, 10 children were hospitalized with signs of acute intestinal infection. This was reported on November 1 in the press service of the regional Ministry of Health.

"Within a few days, 10 children with signs of intestinal infection turned to doctors in the Kazbekovsky district of Dagestan," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.

It is noted that six people were hospitalized, four more are being treated on an outpatient basis. There are no severe cases of infection. The causes of infection are being investigated.

The Dagestan Prosecutor's Office has organized an investigation into the incident.

"During the supervisory measures, the circumstances of the incident will be established, as well as an assessment of compliance with the requirements of federal legislation," the prosecutor's office wrote on its Telegram channel.

The poisoning of students at the Zvezdny College became known on October 30. College education has been temporarily switched to a distance learning format. An investigation has begun into the incident. Measures are currently being taken to establish all the circumstances, causes and conditions of the incident. Later, on October 31, it became known that the number of people poisoned had increased to 20.
