According to preliminary information, 20 fifth-graders of school No. 159 in Yekaterinburg felt symptoms of poisoning after accidentally getting pre-workout energy powder into the locker room. Poisoning at a Yekaterinburg school on October 1

According to preliminary data, 20 schoolchildren were poisoned with energy powder at Yekaterinburg Lyceum No. 159. This was announced on October 1 by a source of Izvestia.

The incident happened in the morning, and now the injured children are receiving medical care. According to the source of the publication, a high school student accidentally poured the pre-workout complex into the gym locker room and did not remove it. Next, the fifth-graders who came to physical education class probably inhaled the substance and felt the symptoms of poisoning: headache and feeling unwell.

Five ambulance crews were called to the scene. At the moment, 11 fifth-graders have been taken to the hospital. It is reported that there are no plans to hospitalize them.

"The students were taken to the hospital for examination by toxicologists. During the examination, no clinical manifestations of poisoning were detected in children. There are no indications for hospitalization," the regional Ministry of Health reported.

The press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Sverdlovsk region indicated that law enforcement officers are now finding out all the details of the incident, interviewing school staff and students.

According to local telegram channels, the Deputy governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Minister of Health Tatyana Savinova, took control of the situation. The press service of the governor of the region has not yet commented on the situation.
