Gutsan noted a similar understanding of cybersecurity issues in Russia and Vietnam.
Russia and Vietnam will be able to effectively cooperate in the field of countering cybercrime due to a similar understanding of the threats they face. This was announced on October 26 by the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Alexander Gutsan at a meeting with the head of the Prosecutor General's Office of Vietnam Nguyen Huy Tien in Hanoi.
"I am convinced that a similar understanding of the problems related to cybercrime will allow the competent authorities of Russia and Vietnam to effectively <...> strengthen <...> the capabilities of the prosecutorial services of the two states in the face of the criminal threats facing our countries," Gutan said.
During the negotiations, Gutsan proposed to conclude a new interdepartmental cooperation program, the draft of which is already under development. The document will be aimed at strengthening cooperation between the prosecutor's offices of the two countries, exchanging experience and developing joint measures to prevent crimes in the digital space.
On October 25, Gutsan signed the UN Convention against Cybercrime on behalf of the Russian Federation. The document is the world's first global international agreement aimed at strengthening information security. Gutsan expressed special gratitude to the Vietnamese leadership for organizing the signing ceremony.
