On Monday, protests began in the center of Chisinau, organized by the opposition "Patriotic Bloc" in response to the results of the parliamentary elections in Moldova. Footage of the September 29 protests is published by Izvestia.

"It is clear that the supporters of the patriotic bloc have not yet gathered, but journalists from many media outlets, many news agencies, both local and foreign, in particular European ones, are already on site. <...> It is worth noting that there are a lot of representatives of law enforcement agencies here," said journalist Vasily Moiseenko.

According to him, the delay in the start of the rally was due to the preparation of the necessary equipment and flags.

The Chisinau police checked all vehicles on the approaches to the protest site, Moiseenko notes. In particular, a minibus carrying members of Parliament from the Party of Socialists was stopped.

Silvia, one of the protesters, noted that more than 300,000 Moldovans, including from Transnistria, were unable to vote due to the lack of polling stations. She pointed out that voting sections were not installed in Russia, Belarus and Israel, which, in her opinion, led to electoral fraud.

The former president of Moldova, the leader of the Party of Socialists Igor Dodon also expressed dissatisfaction, saying that more than 250 thousand citizens of the country had no opportunity to vote.

"They [the country's authorities] say: "We want Europe." What kind of Europe is it when there is no development? Our Moldovan language has not been spoken in Moldova for a long time. Everyone says we speak Romanian. And where is our language? Where? Moldova as a country, it should be," said Sergey, the participant of the action.

He also added that Moldova imitates Romania's political system.

Earlier in the day, Dodon said that the ruling Action and Solidarity (PAS) party had not won at the polls in Moldova following the results of the parliamentary elections in the country. According to him, the diaspora has done everything possible to ensure that Moldovan President Maia Sandu and the ruling PAS party remain in power in the country. In addition, he noted that more than 250,000 citizens from the Transnistrian region were unable to vote in the elections, and a number of international observers were not allowed to go to polling stations. Dodon also stressed that the opposition rally was peaceful.

According to the head of the Central Election Commission of Moldova, Angela Karaman, 236 violations were recorded during the last elections in the republic. They are related to damage to ballots, prohibited campaigning, removal of ballots from the territory of the polling station, suspicion of electoral corruption, violation of voting rights and interference with the activities of the electoral body.

Parliamentary elections began in Moldova on September 28. Polling stations in the territory of the state were open from 07:00 to 21:00. Thus, 301 polling stations operated outside the country to give citizens abroad the opportunity to vote.
