- In Russia, parents have started spending more on neural network clubs for children
Parents between the ages of 30 and 40 have increased spending on additional classes for children related to neural networks and programming. Such data follows from a survey conducted by the financial marketplace <url>, which was reviewed by Izvestia on September 23.
"Today, investments in new technologies are becoming strategic investments in a child's future. The children involved in such circles show improved results in mathematics and computer science, which confirms the effectiveness of the approach," said the director of the Department of Communication Policy "Choose.<url>" by Anna Romanenko.
The study involved 3,000 Russians aged 18 to 50 years. According to the survey results, the average monthly expenses for neural network and children's programming clubs increased by more than a third, from 4.2 thousand rubles in 2024 to 5.7 thousand rubles in 2025. At the same time, spending on sports clubs and traditional clubs, such as music and creative arts, has decreased. Parents began to pay almost a quarter less for creative activities, and sports expenses decreased by 34%.
It is noteworthy that last year, parents working in the IT and financial fields mainly sent their children to digital clubs, and this year they were replaced by doctors. Almost one in three respondents working in the healthcare sector chose digital education for their child. At the same time, children who attend such clubs, according to their parents, show good or excellent academic results, show interest in technology, video games and the creation of digital content.
In addition, 52% of parents plan to increase spending on neural network clubs next year, and more than 70% are confident that investing in digital skills will bring long-term benefits. Among the children attending technology clubs, 65% plan to build a career in IT and science.
According to the results of a study of the online recruiting platform hh.ru and the IT company Touch Instinct on September 22, 60% of employers expect basic AI skills from employees, every fourth employee in Russia uses neural networks at work. The surveyed managers also believe that having AI competencies can become a leading skill in all industries in the future. According to the survey, a quarter of employers plan to assess the level of neural network proficiency of their employees and applicants in the near future.
