The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation called the signs of fake flower online stores

Fraudsters, creating fake accounts of flower shops, use other people's photos and the content of real floral studios, often underestimating prices. This was announced on September 17 by the Department for the organization of the fight against the illegal use of information and communication technologies (UBK) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

It clarifies that the main signs of fake stores include the use of other people's photos, the absence of an official website, the inability to pay online and the publication of legal data. In addition, addresses often belong to third-party organizations that are not related to the sale of flowers.

Also, as noted in the Interior Ministry, when making a purchase, communication usually takes place only through messengers, there is no way to leave a review, and the prices for bouquets are too low. In such cases, prepayment is also often required, and after the transfer of money, communication with the seller is interrupted, and the order is not completed.

Earlier, on September 16, Irina Volk, a representative of the Russian Interior Ministry, warned about a fraudulent scheme according to which criminals send fake documents or disturbing messages, forcing citizens to urgently call them first. Also, scammers, according to Volk, believe that the person who called them sincerely trusts the interviewee who offered help and it is much easier to deceive him.
