An Association of Culinary Specialists has been established in Moscow to promote gastronomic culture.

The official presentation of the AKM Culinary Association took place in Moscow on Monday, September 8. The new organization is aimed at developing gastronomic culture, as well as supporting sustainable development, innovation and the preservation of culinary traditions.

"Moscow is dynamically developing today as a gastronomic hub where traditions and modern trends are intertwined. Our goal is to create a community that will educate a new generation of talented specialists, whose skills will strengthen the reputation of Moscow gastronomy on the world stage," said Denis Perevoz, President of the AKM Culinary Association.

The association's mission is to turn Moscow into one of the world's gastronomic centers, to create a platform for the exchange of experience between craftsmen and novice specialists. The key focus of the Association's work will be an educational program with an emphasis on "A healthy nation starting with a healthy and mindful diet."

It is noted that the first project of the Association will be the launch of a series of master classes and courses for schoolchildren and students aimed at acquiring practical culinary skills and career guidance.

Mentoring will be undertaken by industry leaders — members of the Association, including Andrey Shmakov, Kirill Martynenko, Andrey Zhdanov and other famous chefs. The association's board also includes industry experts, including Alexander Rybalchenko and Biso Chechenov (President of the Association of Culinary Specialists of the Caucasus).

Nikolay Tabakov and Mikhail Perchenko, known for their educational projects in the field of cooking, became the Vice-presidents of the Association.

On September 13, the Baltika Fest gastrofestival will be held at the Igora Drive autodrome. The event will be headlined by Russian rock legend Chaif, the cult band of the 1990s and 2000s Avaria Disco and singer Marie Crymbreri.

As part of the large-scale Baltika Fest food festival, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Baltika Brewing Company, guests will be offered a unique menu created by three famous chefs with dishes representing five regions of Russia, as well as a musical program with the participation of famous bands.
