- Security at the US presidential medical center was not strengthened amid rumors about Trump
There were no enhanced security measures, road closures or other restrictions near the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Maryland, where the US presidents are being examined and treated, on Tuesday, September 2.
Earlier, the Metro newspaper reported on rumors regarding a possible deterioration in the health of US President Donald Trump. Against this background, the publication reported on traffic restrictions at this medical center.
According to RIA Novosti, as of 11:00 a.m. on September 2, local time (18:00 Moscow time), traffic near the medical center is not restricted, and checkpoints have not been subjected to increased control. There are also no restrictions for pedestrians.
The day before, Trump said that he had never felt better in his life than he does now, commenting on reports in various media and social networks about his alleged "demise" and health problems.
In turn, U.S. Vice President Jay Dee Vance announced on August 28 that he was ready to assume the post of president of the United States if "something happens" to Trump. However, according to him, the American leader is in "incredibly good health," and he expects him to spend his entire term in office.
