- In Moscow, more than 300 migrants were taken to law enforcement agencies for inspection.
Employees of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in Moscow are checking more than 300 foreign citizens who were identified in the west of the capital during a raid on compliance with Russian legislation. This was announced on September 2 in the press service of the department.
"Investigators of the metropolitan Investigative Committee have identified more than 300 foreign citizens in a hostel located on Naro-Fominskaya Street in Moscow, who were taken to law enforcement agencies to check migration legislation," the Telegram channel says.
It is specified that foreigners will also be checked for possible commission of other offenses in the Moscow region. According to the Moscow headquarters of the Investigative Committee of Russia, this check is part of the investigation of a criminal case on the organization of illegal migration (Art. 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
Earlier, on August 11, six people were detained in St. Petersburg on suspicion of illegally registering at least 5,000 foreigners for migration through hacked accounts on Gosuslugi. It was clarified that they earned about 20 million rubles on their act.
