The farewell match of Olympic champion, two-time Stanley Cup winner and member of the Triple Gold Club Pavel Datsyuk took place at the UMMC Arena in Yekaterinburg. The match took place on August 30 and ended with a score of 13:8 in favor of Datsyuk's team.

The game was attended by world hockey stars, including Alexander Ovechkin, Vyacheslav Fetisov, Valery Kamensky, Kirill Kaprizov, Sergei Fedorov, Ilya Kovalchuk and Alexei Morozov. The coaching staff of the team was headed by Oleg Znarok, Alexander Yakushev and Vladimir Krikunov.

Pavel Datsyuk is 47 years old, and he played his last professional match in 2021. The hockey player is a two-time Stanley Cup winner with Detroit, Olympic champion and winner of the World Championships, as well as a member of the Triple Gold Club. As a member of St. Petersburg SKA, he won the Gagarin Cup, becoming the only player in history who managed to win all four of these titles.

On May 9, it was reported that Alexander Ovechkin, a Russian hockey player and captain of the Washington Capitals hockey club, surpassed Pavel Datsyuk's achievement in the Stanley Cup among Russians. Sergey Fedorov remains the leader in the number of matches in the playoffs with 183 games. In second place is Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin with 177 games, and former Dallas Stars defenseman Sergey Zubov, who played 164 Stanley Cup games, closes the top three.
