Viewers in China will soon be able to see the Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk". This was announced on August 30 by Russian President Vladimir Putin in an interview with the Xinhua news agency, the text of which was published on the Kremlin's website.

"There is active cooperation in the field of film production. In February, the joint film "Red Silk" was released in Russia. We expect that viewers in China will see it in the near future," Putin stressed.

He also recalled that an Action Plan for film production between the two countries was signed in Moscow in May.

The Russian President noted that in the future, Russia and China plan to release new joint films that will convey to the audience moral guidelines, traditional spiritual and moral values and the truth about key historical events. To support this trend, the Open Eurasian Film Award project was launched, which is a platform free from bias and political intrigue.

In addition, Putin personally drew attention to the development of cooperation in the field of film production at a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on May 8.

"Joint film production is being established. My friend, Mr. Chairman, and I talked about this in Kazan. And the work is going on. I would like to note this with pleasure. In February of this year, the Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk" was released in Russia, the premiere of which was very successful," Putin said.

The premiere of the Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk" will take place on September 4 at the main cinema of China Film Group, and on September 6 the film will be released in China.

Olga Lyubimova, in an interview with Izvestia on May 8, called the Russian-Chinese film "Red Silk" the first large-scale blockbuster co-production and a "breakthrough" in cultural exchange between the states.

Later, on August 29, it became known that this film had become a hit at the SCO Film Week. In addition, "Red Silk" is the highest-grossing film of the year in Russia.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
