More than 100 people are extinguishing a forest fire near Bakhchisarai

A forest fire broke out in the Bakhchisarai region of Crimea. It started near the village of Krasny Mak in the Khoja-Sala region.

Information about smoke in the open area was received at the duty station on Sunday, August 30. The forces of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and forestry, volunteers and water supply equipment went to the place of the fire.

Extinguishing is complicated by wind gusts up to 15 m/s and rugged terrain. Specialists managed to prevent the spread of fire to the settlement.

The preliminary fire area is 4.5 hectares. 131 people and 23 pieces of equipment are involved in extinguishing, writes IA SevastopolMedia.

Earlier it was reported that in Yalta, the extinguishing of a forest fire in the Outka microdistrict did not stop for a week. The work was complicated by strong winds, dry and hot weather. By his decree, the head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, awarded the fire the status of a regional emergency.
