Balashikha poisoner pleaded guilty and apologized to the victims

Artyom Missyura, a serial poisoner from Balashikha, apologized to his victims and admitted that he was the only one guilty of the crimes committed. This was reported by a correspondent of Izvestia from the hall of the Moscow Regional Court.

"It's all my fault, and it's no one's fault but mine. <...> I would like to apologize to everyone personally, I hope that such an opportunity will come again. Everything that is given is mine, I deserve it," he said, making his last statement.

Missyura added that he bullied relatives and friends because of stupidity, meanness and commercialism.

"Now I'm trying to work on myself, analyzing my life," the poisoner concluded.

Missyura was sentenced to life imprisonment, and he took the court's decision calmly. The man was found guilty of murdering his grandmother and childhood friend, fraud, and the attempted murder of seven other people, including members of his family.

The defense of Artyom Missyura, accused of murdering loved ones, insists on the absence of direct intent.

In May, the father of Missyura's murdered friend reported during an examination that the attacker often showed sadistic tendencies as a child. According to him, Missyura bullied cats and dogs from an early age. He invariably reacted to accusations of meanness with a "grinning grin", shifting the blame to his friends.

In February, Missyura said that he had no plans to poison anyone except his stepfather, but later saw the elimination of relatives as a solution to financial difficulties. At the same time, speaking about how he prepared treats with poisonous chemicals for his family, he stressed that he tasted the dishes himself, tasting them on the tip of a teaspoon and washing them down with water.

Missyura was detained on July 19, 2024. According to the investigation, from January to June, the suspect, staying in his parents' apartment, poured powerful chemicals into their products for fatal poisoning. Subsequently, a surveillance camera was installed in the apartment, which recorded how Missyura poured toxic substances into his parents' food. On August 25 of this year, the attacker fully admitted his guilt.
