AvtoVAZ has applied for registration of seven trademarks
AvtoVAZ has applied for registration of seven trademarks: Onegin, Tenor, Tezis, Poema, Elegia, Bagira and Arteus. They were published in the open database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS), Izvestia found out on June 25.
All these trademarks are registered according to the 12th class of the International Classification of Goods and Services (ICTS), which includes cars, spare parts and accessories for them. It is possible that in the future these names may be applied to potential Lada new products.
So, under the Aura name, patented in 2021, a Vesta-based business sedan began to be produced in 2024. And under the name Xcite, which was issued back in 2015, nine years later, the production of crossovers began in St. Petersburg.
The Lada Yashma trademark has been officially registered in Russia. As noted on April 14, its application for registration was submitted to Rospatent in February 2025, along with Lada Ariva, Lada Yarus, Lada Parus and Lada Tigris. The last two were registered in March of this year.
Prior to that, on February 19, it was reported that AvtoVAZ had applied for trademark registration "It is possible, but why?" This phrase became a meme after an interview with Oleg Grunenkov, AvtoVAZ's Director of products and programs, was published online. Later, on April 10, the Moskvich automobile plant in the capital submitted an application for registration of the trademark "It is possible if necessary!"
