Russia and India have a particularly privileged partnership, and Moscow attaches great importance to the further development of relations. This was announced on June 24 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

"India is the largest country in the world by population, one of the fastest growing economies, a country with potential in all areas, with which we have a particularly privileged partnership," Peskov said.

The Kremlin representative also stressed that Russia and India cooperate within the framework of international organizations. Moscow aims to further deepen relations, reach a new level of cooperation and increase trade and economic ties.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the SPIEF 2026 plenary session on June 6 that Russia and India have a very special, trusting relationship. The Head of State recalled that Russia and India are working together to achieve positive results and share technologies, and called the decision of Russian and Indian companies to establish close cooperation the right one.
