Zakharova announced Kiev's plans to lower the age of mobilization to 18 years

In Ukraine, they plan to reduce the age of mobilization to 18 years. This was announced on May 21 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"[Kiev] intends to tighten mobilization in Ukraine in the foreseeable future, including by lowering the age of recruits to 18," she said at a briefing.

Zakharova stressed that the Kiev regime is doing this in exchange for multibillion-dollar loans promised by its European sponsors.

Ukrainian Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko said on May 15 that medical workers had been stripped of their armor, which prevented them from being mobilized. According to him, this was done in order to control the process of providing medical care, including to wounded soldiers.

The Ukrainian edition of "Country.ua" reported on May 1 that the country plans to reduce the quotas for reservations from mobilization. It is noted that this should help attract up to 400,000 new soldiers to the army.
