Balashikha poisoner Artyom Missyura, accused of murdering his grandmother and childhood friend, as well as attempted murder of relatives and friends, abused animals in childhood. This was reported on May 13 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

Reading out the charge, the prosecutor cited a comment from a witness in the case, the father of Missyura's deceased friend Konstantin. The man noted that as a child, Artyom was envious and regularly framed his comrades — at first his son did not notice the disadvantages of his friend, but by the age of 10 he began to notice his essence.

According to the witness, Missyura showed sadistic tendencies from an early age and bullied cats and dogs. He invariably reacted to accusations of meanness with a "grinning grin", shifting the blame to his friends.

In February, Missyura stated that he had no plans to poison anyone except his stepfather, but then saw the elimination of loved ones as a solution to financial difficulties. At the same time, talking about how he prepared treats with poisonous chemicals for his family, he noted that he himself tasted the dishes, tasting them on the tip of a teaspoon and washing them down with water.

Missyura was detained on July 19, 2024. According to the investigation, from January to June, the suspect, while in his parents' apartment, poured strong chemicals into their products with the aim of fatal poisoning. Later, a surveillance camera was installed in the apartment, which recorded how Missyura poured toxic substances into his parents' food. In August last year, the figure fully admitted his guilt.
